A minimalist design with sustainable principles was the brief for this new coffee shop, now set up in a residential corner of Macclesfield. The proposal incorporated plywood, limewash render and a feature hemp partition wall to create a neutral palette that's depth and detail came from the texture of the various natural materials. Collaborating with the work of furniture designer Tim Denton, created a wrap around bench for socialising on one side of the floor and a wrap around breakfast bar for more isolated space to work at on the other.
